Starting with just an Instagram account, sisters Rosie and Sophie Osborne set up a joint venture, Startup Sisters, sharing their love of interior design and styling. They launched in 2016 gaining a loyal following and now run a series of pop-up stores internationally, showcasing and selling a curated collection of interior design pieces. Inspired by Scandinavian design, Cornish landscapes and French style they source art, ceramics, furniture and textiles to spark joy and bring soul and individuality to your home.
At the start of 2018, the sisters launched #startupsisterssquad, creating a range of merchandise designed to inspire confidence in women and girls considering starting their own businesses.
Sophie and Rosie also work in interior styling and renovation, and have undertaken various projects including a Scandi-inspired woodland lodge in Cornwall, a Parisian pied-a-terre in the Marais and an Edwardian garden flat in west London.
Rosie, 29, spent five years living and working in Paris, renovating property and designing interiors for luxury rental apartments. Herself an award winning photographer, she also founded the Free Spirits brand, interviewing and exhibiting emerging and established artists from around the world.
Sophie, 32, started her career in retail, marketing and brand development before moving to work in education in 2012. She now combines various roles across different fields including business development, interior design, writing, mentoring in schools, and support work with refugee communities in London.
The girls set up Startup Sisters to realise their childhood dream of working together and combining their creative forces. They bring their unique style, intuition and sense of fun to their work and look forward to the next phase of their startup adventure.
